mira 5300 netfix is a dry mixture that after mixing with water is ready to use.
mira 5300 netfix is used for reinforcing insulation materials (such as facade-polystyrene boards, facade mineral wool boards etc) with the mira uninet fibreglass mesh as a part of the External Thermal Insulation Cladding System (ETICS). Suitable for reinforcing and rendering other substrates such as concrete, masonry, lightweight concrete and areated concrete. Suitable for use as a reinforcement render as well as adhesive in the miratherm ETICS.
After applying mira 5300 netfix, the following products can be used: 5370 silicone kratz, 5360 silicone reibe, 5335 quartz grund, decogranit and decoquartz.
A flexible, gray cement based fiber reinforced glue-reinforcement plaster for installing and reinforcing polystyrene plates, mineral fiber isolation boards and lamella plates. A miratherm product.
The surface of the polystyrene boards or mineral wool boards must be level. If necessary, the surface must be smoothed down and the dust removed.
The mineral substrates must be stable, dense, clean of dust, grease, oil, cement laitance and other similar substances. Salts, mold, algae and other factors that hinder adhesion must be removed or processed. Weaker parts of the substrate must be removed and repaired.
Absorbent substrates must be primed using mira 4180 primer. Other substrates must be moistened while using mira 5300 netfix. Mineral substrates must be rendered level before reinforcement.
The glue should me mixed in a ratio of 0,25 litres of of clean water to 1 kg of dry mixture. Let the mortar sit for 10 minutes and then mix it again thoroughly. The best result is achieved with a drill mixer. Then the product is ready for use.
The insulation boards must be covered with mira 5300 netfix using a notched trowel. The reinforcement net mira uninet is pressed into the wet mortar. Ensure at least 10 cm overlap between two strips of the net. Then the surface must be levelled.
The fibreglass mesh must not be visible from the mortar. Use the wet on wet method. The total layer thickness should be 3-4 mm. Before level reinforcement, the window profiles need to be reinforced, and the corners of openings should be reinforced diagonally.
The minimal air and substrate temperature is +6°C. Avoid too high temperatures and direct solar radiation.
The pot life of mira 5300 netfix is 2-3 hours. Do not apply mira 5300 netfix to larger surfaces that can me managed to be covered before the surface can form a skin, e.g. in 20-30 minutes.
The adhesive is fully dry after about 2-3 days. The drying time depends on the air temperature, wind and air moisture. Cold and wet weather prolong drying time. While drying, the surface must be protected from rainfall and frost.
The product contains cement. When mixed with water, an alkaline reaction will occur. Protect your skin and eyes. Keep away from children.
