Used for improving the adhesion on various substrates before applying polymer renders, silicate renders or silicone renders.
Suitable substrates include mineral plasters and renders, gypsum boards, concrete, polymer covers and mira 5300 netfix reinforcement render.
5335 quartz grund is suitable for use as a primer on mira 5300 netfix as a part of the miratherm external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS).
The product is ready to use, if necessary, add a little bit of water (not more than 10%).
mira 5335 quartz grund should be tinted to be the same colour as the render.
A special pigmented primer containing quartz powder. For priming the substrate before the application of polymer, silicate or silicone finishing plasters.
The substrate must have carrying capacity and be clean, free of dust and dirt. Salts, mold, algae and other factors that hinder adhesion must be removed or processed. Weaker parts of the substrate must be removed and repaired.
Highly absorbent substrates must be primed using mira 4180 primer. Non-dusting substrates do not need priming before the application of mira 5300 netfix.
Mineral substrates as well as mira 5300 netfix must be let dry for at least 48 hours before the application of 5335 quartz grund. In wet and cold weather, let dry for longer. Polymerous substrates must be fully dry before mira 5335 quartz grund can be applied.
If mira 5300 netfix has been left uncovered for an extended period of time, the soiled surface must be cleaned using appropriate facade cleaning products and a pressure washer. Let the surface dry and then cover with mira 5335 quartz grund.
mira 5335 quartz grund must be tinted to be the same colour as the finishing plaster, in order to avoid the primer from being visible from beneath the plaster.
Apply to the surface with a broom, roller or sprayer. Use a 0,66 - 0,79 mm nozzle while spraying, spray with a pressure of 160 - 40 bar at a 40 - 80 degree angle.
Clean the tools immediately after use with water. If the product gets on other decorative surfaces, clean them with water immediately.
The primer is touch dry after about 30 minutes in +20°C/65 % conditions. The exact drying time depends on the air temperature, wind and air moisture. The primer is fully dry after 12-48 hours. Cold and wet weather prolong drying time. While drying, the surface must be protected from rainfall and frost.
The minimal air and substrate temperature is +6°C. Avoid too high temperatures and direct solar radiation, if necessary, use scaffold sheets.
Transport and store cool, protect from freezing. After opening, close the lid hermetically. The product will maintain technical specifications for at least 12 months from the production date in unopened packaging.
Keep away from children. If in contact with eyes, rinse immediately with lots of clean water. Do not discard the product into a drain, plumbing or on the ground. Normal safety precautions when working with products containing chemicals must be followed.

The drying time of the primer depends on the temperature, wind and humidity. Thorough drying takes 0,5 - 2 days. High relative humidity and low temperature prolong the drying time.
