Closes pores

Detailed description

Usage

Acrylic-based liquid containing yellow dye tracer. Diluted with water when used on absorbent substrates in dry and wet rooms. Used as a concentrate on wood in dry rooms.

Product description

Acryl based fine-molecular primer containing yellow dye tracer.

Application areas

On absorbent surfaces use 1 part mira 4180 primer diluted with 3 parts water, for less absorbent substrates 1 part primer with 2 parts water. Use as a concentrate on wooden surfaces to ensure adhesion between the substrate and the subsequent layers , such as screed, waterproofing or tile adhesive.

Type of substrate

mira 4180 primer is used on concrete, gypsum and other mineral substrates, as well as wood and gypsum board.

Pre-treatment of substrate

The substrate must be sound and free from dirt, oil, grease, paint, glue residues, and loose particles. Holes cracks or similar must be repaired with a compatible leveller/filler (water proof).

Application

The substrate must be dry enough to absorb the primer. Porous substrates, such as concrete, lightweight concrete, plaster or masonry must be primed with 1 part mira 4180 primer diluted in 3 parts water. Less porous substrates must be primed with 1 part primer diluted in 2 parts water. Non-porous substrates, such as paint and ceramic tiles must be primed with concentrated primer. To achieve even better adhesion, dry cement powder can be dusted on top of the primer. Wooden substrates must be primed with concentrated primer.

Working environment

Product is not subject to REACH registration. Working hygienic rules must be followed.

Reference the safety data sheet.

Packaging

1 kg and 2,5 kg plastic bottle and 5 kg plastic buckets.

Storage and transportation

Store and transport frost free. The product keeps technical specification for at least 12 months after production date in unopened packaging. Can be used after that, however, the technical properties may change. For example, the setting time may be extended.

Application Instructions

The substrate must be dry. Porous substrates must be primed with 1 part mira 4180 primer diluted in 3 parts water. The primer should be applied to the substrate with a brush or a broom. Less absorbent substrates should be primed with 1 part primer diluted in 2 parts water. Non-absorbent substrates should be primed with concentrated primer.
