3100 unifix is a dry product that is ready for use after mixing with water.

3100 unifix is available in 25 kg bags.

Product description

Grey, cement-based, frost resistant, waterproof, polymer-reinforced dry mixture.

Application areas

Installing all types of ceramic tiles both indoors and outdoors, in dry and wet rooms. As mira 3100 unifix is grey, it is not recommended for thin tiles, glass mosaic, light marble etc because the tone of the adhesive can be visible.

Type of substrate

Stable floors and walls with minimal risk of deformation. Suitable substrates include plastered masonry, stone walls, gypsum boards, concrete elements and lightweight concrete elements with minimal volume fluctuation.

Pre-treatment of substrate

The substrate must have carrying capacity, be stable, without cracks, clean of dust, grease and cement laitance. The substrate must be dry enough to absorb mira 4180 primer. Absorbent substrates must be primed with mira 4180 primer, wet rooms must be waterproofed according to ETAG 022 guidelines and the mira manual.

Application

25 kg of powder to be mixed with 6,25-7 litres of clean water. Use a mixing paddle on drill or mixing pump. Mix a minimum of 2-5 minutes to a homogeneous mix.

The temperature of the powder, water and substrate must be within the allowed range of 10-25 °C. The pot life of the mixed product is 6 hours. It is not recommended to apply the tile adhesive to too large areas at once, because then the product can start forming a dry layer before it is managed to be covered with ceramic tiles.

3100 unifix is applied to the substrate using a trowel's straight edge and then combed through with the toothed edge. The trowel must be chosen according to the ceramic tiles. The tiles must be pressed into the wet mortar. Ensure that the back side of the tile is fully covered with the tile adhesive.

Areas larger than 36 m² or with a side longer than 8 m are usually divided into separate parts throughout the whole construction.

Depending on the absorption of the tile and the temperature of the room, the wall surfaces will be ready for further treatment after about 10 hours and floor surfaces after about 18 hours.

Working environment

The product contains cement. Workplace hygiene rules for cement must be followed. 3100 unifix is guaranteed chrome neutralized for a minimum of 12 months.

Reference the product safety data sheet.

Storage and transportation

Transport and store dry. The product will maintain its technical specifications for a minimum of 12 months from the production date in unopened packaging. Can be used after, however, technical properties may change. For example, the setting time may be extended.
