3250 gigafix floor is based on white low alkali cement, self-compacting, easy to prepare and distribute on the tilling surface. Ideal for areas of high pressure and elasticity - e.g. bonding of ceramic granite tiles and large format tiles exposed to heavy loads and/or variation of temperature. E.g. in industry and business premises where pallet/stacker trucks are transporting goods. Also suited outdoors on balconies and terraces etc.
Cement based, frostproof, waterproof, polymer strengthened, easy-flowing, self-compacting white tile adhesive in powder form.
For mounting of ceramic granite tiles and natural stone with water absorption more than 10% on floor, in wet and dry areas, inside and outside. Ideal for floors with heavy loads and/or variation of temperature, for large format tiles and thin tiles.
Screed, floor levellers and concrete floors with risk of large shrinkage, movements and deformation, with or without underfloor heating and old tiles.
Ensure substrate has carrying capacity, is stable and coherent, cleaned for dust, grease and laitance. Large tile sizes make heavy demands on plainness of substrate. The substrate must be so dry that 4180 primer can be absorbed in the surface.
When mounting on old tiles care must be taken that old tiles adhere properly to substrate. Clean surface for grease etc. with 7110 base cleaner.
Absorbent substrates shall be primed with 4180 primer and wetroom must be water tightened according to the rules laid down in mira's mounting instructions for wetroom.
Mix 15 kg powder with 3.0 - 3.2 l clean water to a lump free mortar and the mixture is ready for use. Use a mixing paddle on drilling machine. Powder, water and substrate shall be within the recommended working temperature.
Tile adhesive can be applied within approx. 60 min. after mixing. Ensure tiles are fixed quickly to avoid formation of skin on adhesive surface (max. 30 min.)
3250 gigafix floor shall be spread on the substrate with a notched trowel. First spread the adhesive with the smooth side and then draw the notched side through the mortar. Follow the recommendation for correct choice of tooth size for tile type and substrate. Tiles are pressed/twisted in place in wet adhesive. Adhesive is self-levelling and with plastic properties for which reason a slight pressure ensures 100% adhesion and filling of uneven surfaces.
Avoid wind, draught and heat exposure from eg. sunlight and underfloor heating during construction and curing time. Underfloor heating can be started slowly after 7-8 days.
Care must be taken that setting time for tile adhesive is increased the larger the tile size is due to increased adhesive usage.
Areas above 36m² and areas of a length above 8 m shall normally be divided in areas with expansion joints across the construction.
Dependent on absorbing capacity of tiles and room temperature, tiling is ready to be grouted after approx. 6-12 hours.
The product contains cement. Working environment rules for cement must be followed.
3250 gigafix floor is based on white cement containing a natural low content of chrome(VI) therefore the limiting value of max. 2 mg/kg is always kept.

Transport and store dry. Product will maintain technical specifications minimum 12 months from production date in unopened packing. Can be used hereafter, technical properties may, however, change; e.g. setting time may be extended.
