4630 aqua-flex 2K membrane is suitable as a membrane in wet rooms, as in bathrooms in homes and in industrial areas as food industry, commercial kitchens, terraces and balconies on concrete substrates and the like.
2-component, flexible, cement-based membrane for waterproofing.
Applied to all kind of stable cementitious substrates in wet areas as bathrooms in homes, commercial kitchens, indu- stries as well as on terraces and balconies. Also suitable as surface protection on concrete structures, facades, chimneys and foundations. For swimming pools use mira 4650 aqua stop flexible.
Concrete, plaster and similar mineral-based surfaces.
Ensure the substrate is firm and free of loose particles. Holes, cracks and similar need to be repaired with water- proof mortar/plaster. Substrate should be free of dirt, oil, grease, paint, adhesive residues, etc. Dry and absorbent substrates shall be primed with 4180 primer before applying 4630 aqua-flex 2K membrane. Follow the instructions on the primer packaging.
Where there is a risk of movements in the ground as in joints, floor / wall angles and the like you need to tightened with 4526 safecoat band or mira 4502 vapourband. 4526 safecoat band / mira 4502 vapourband is mounted directly into the wet mass and top-coated subsequently with 4630 aqua-flex 2K membrane. Use 4502 vapourband on terraces and balconies.
The powder is mixed into the paste while stirring. Use a spiral mixer for a minimum of 2-3 minutes, until the mortar is homogeneous and lump-free.
Apply with short hair roller or brush. Application with af brush / roller gives about 1 kg/m2 per application. It is important to keep the right consumption, as thicker layers may crack. Consumption is dependent on substrate smoothness. Each layer must be surface dry before the next layer is applied.
The applied membrane must be protected from rain / water for min one day. In areas with intensive heavy traffic, the membrane surface needs to be protected with ceramic tiles or similar durable surface covering.
When applying membrane outdoors over warm rooms, mira 4500 vapourmat cloth must be embedded into membrane layer.
4630 aqua-flex 2K membrane is based on special cement and does not require safety labelling.

Store and transport frost free and dry. The product meets technical specifications min 12 months from production date in unopened packing. Can be used hereafter, properties may however change, e.g. prolonged curing time.

Uneven places, cracks etc must first be repaired with waterproof mortar. Excellent for adhesing the mira vapourmat fabric because the two component mass dries well and rapidly under the vapourproof mira vapourmat and in between layers.
